Overview
The Intensive Course in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment — Self-Directed 2026-2027 Course is a continuing medical education (CME) accredited certificate program for Physicians, Physician Assistants, Genetic Counselors, Master's or PhD in genetics or Advanced Practice Nurses, and Geneticists. This experiences include 13 bundles of distance learning, which is then followed by four days of in-person Clinical Skills Workshops to translate course experience in clinical practice. Topics include pedigree documentation, basics in genetic counseling for cancer risk, interpreting complex test results, as well as evidence-based content related to hereditary predisposition to breast, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, endocrine, and pediatric cancers. American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) maintenance of certification (MOC) credits and National Society of Genetic Counselor (NSGC) continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for an additional administration fee.
Those seeking ABIM MOC will have to complete additional requirements.
