Satisfactory Completion

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) MOC
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 66.50 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's Learner Notification (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
You must request your certificate within 45 days of completing the activity to meet the deadline for submission to PARS. Credits are generally reported during the first week of each month for those who claimed during the month prior.
Nurse Practitioners
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit.

Objectives - After Attending This Program You Should Be Able To
- Integrate cancer genetics and oncology knowledge into clinical practice.
- Apply skills commensurate with practitioner-level proficiency into the cancer risk assessment and case management process.
- Recommend risk-appropriate options for cancer surveillance and prevention as part of the cancer risk assessment, including imaging, chemo preventive and surgical interventions.
- Incorporate understanding of medical, legal, and psychosocial ramifications of cancer risk counseling and testing into clinical practice and research collaboration.
- Examine the value of hereditary cancer registries, cancer epidemiology and cancer prevention studies for patients and clinicians.
- Realize greater professional self-efficacy related to genetic cancer risk assessment skills.
- Incorporate Web-based resources into ongoing practice-based education, professional development, and research support.
- Discuss possible barriers and biases which may impact patient care (i.e., race, ethnicity, language, gender identity/orientation, age, socioeconomic status, attitudes, feelings, or other characteristics).

Genetic Counselor NSGC CEUs
The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized City of Hope to offer up to 6.65 CEUs or 66.50 Category 1 contact hours for the activity Intensive Course in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment – Self-Directed 2026-2027 Course. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of genetic counselor recertification.
